Common questions

Where is my information stored?

DailyFold stores events, reminders, plans, lists, notes, attachments, recordings, settings, and completion data locally on your Android device. Optional shared lists use a document you select through Android's file picker; your chosen provider handles its storage and sharing.

Can I back up my data?

DailyFold can export and restore backups in a folder you select. Standard ZIP backups are not encrypted by DailyFold. Pro can password-protect exported backups. DailyFold manages the latest 10 manual and automatic copies in its selected backup location. Copies you move or share elsewhere and Android system backups must be managed separately.

Troubleshooting

If reminders are delayed, check DailyFold's notification and exact-alarm permissions and your device's battery settings. For backup or shared list file problems, check access to the folder or document in Android's system picker and your storage provider.

Data deletion

Delete content in DailyFold or clear app data or uninstall to remove local content. Android may retain a system backup. Delete external backup files yourself, including copies moved or shared elsewhere. Stopping shared-list sync does not delete the provider-hosted document; delete it or revoke access through the provider. Contact us to request deletion of support correspondence or the anonymous RevenueCat customer record. Google Play may retain transaction records under its own policy.
